MALA Mentoring Program

Our Mentoring Program matches experienced paralegal mentors with paralegal students and/or new paralegals who are MALA members to provide guidance related to the following areas, including but not limited to:

  • Current information on the paralegal profession
  • Career objectives
  • Educational goals
  • Resume review and interviewing tips
  • Practice areas related paralegal duties
  • Tips for obtaining a paralegal position
  • The benefits of being a student member of a paralegal organization

Contact between mentors and mentees is largely conducted via e-mails and telephone calls.  The Mentor Program Chair takes into consideration a mentee's interests and goals prior to placement with a mentor in order to establish a productive mentor-mentee relationship.
