MALA is a proud affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). NALA provides many educational opportunities for paralegals and legal assistants interested in furthering their educations, becoming certified paralegals/legal assistants by successfully passing the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) exam, and making connections with other paralegals throughout the United States. Legal assistants can also participate in leadership programs and earn additional credentials by completing an Advanced Certification course in a specialized area of law.
